Well it’s been a very long time since I created a post for my blog, so thought it about time I made an effort, especially whilst we are on lockdown. It’s a strange time, very surreal. All work has been stopped, and as a small business I have to face the prospect that there are bills to be paid which may not be covered, depending on the length of time we are isolated.
Despite lockdown though, fluff problems do not stop! So how can we get around this problem whilst also conforming to the new ‘rules’?
I have set up a variety of options both for my current clients, and those who are new to the world of cat grooming.
Clients can purchase a voucher true to the cost of their next groom with me. All vouchers purchased before 1st May 2020 will have a five per cent discount applied; so will save money, ensure their appointment is booked in and help their cat groomer get through the coming months.
Each client will receive a number, and I’ll list their number and the cost against their total. Although the voucher is non-refundable, I’ll guarantee your appointment and the service you purchase it against. Visit fees are payable on the day.
I’m also offering unlimited, free assistance to current clients in the form of phonecalls, videocalls and e-mails/texts. It’s prudent to ensure the cats are still getting as close to the care they’d usually receive from me. I am absolutely one hundred per cent invested in making sure things run as smoothly as possible during this lockdown, and will help my clients help their cat. I am unconcerned about potentially losing business which someone recently commented on. I know the service I can provide is simply not usually possible to achieve at home anyway, but more importantly there are things that the owners of cats who are prone to matting really need to know anyway, and should I ever be unable to help in the future, I would hope that if I can at least leave that little legacy, then people will remember what a cat groomer really should be doing for their feline. It is not always about money.
New clients are also welcome to assistance, via phone or webcall. This service is chargable at £30, and covers any amount of time up to 60 minutes. It is an appointment based service, and is to be paid for at the time of booking. Bank transfer or payment by card over the telephone are my preferred methods of payment.
In that slot we can discuss grooming routines, grooming tools, and your cats needs. Obviously all I can do is a visual inspection, but there are ways to get around that, and as long as you are prepared to pick up/handle your cat, then I’m sure I will be able to help.
Those who struggle with handling can still benefit from the service I can provide. Tools, routine, and chat about development of your grooming relationship can all be discussed.
Well, that’s it for now, but I’ll be back soon.
In the meantime, stay safe and at home.
Lots of love,
